328,500 MMBtu Dairy Digester-to-RNG Facility
Venture serves as Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) Contractor to Design, build, and construct a DVO four cell plug flow digester, RNG gas upgrading facility using biodesulfurization and membranes, and complete digestate treatment to separate fibrous solids and dry solids for animal bedding. We will also coordinate install of 14-mile force main wastewater pipeline and a 1.1-mile gas pipeline to a meter and regulation station for gas injection into TransCanada interstate gas pipeline. Methane will be captured from three dairy farms. The manure from the cows at these farms will provide feedstock for the digesters and when completed, this facility is expected to generate roughly 328,500 MMBtu of RNG per year, making it one of the biggest in the country.
Yaphank, NY
Source-Separated Organic Waste to RNG Facility
Venture serves as the EPC contractor for the design, construction, and commissioning of a $100+ million Source Separated Organic Waste (SSOW) Digester to RNG (Renewable Natural Gas) facility. Located on Long Island, NY, the site will collect SSOW (i.e., food waste) from residents, grocery stores, and other commercial food entities in the area. In addition, Fats, Oils, and Grease (FOG) will also be collected to serve as liquid feedstock for the digester. The Facility will process the SSOW and FOG waste in an Anaerobic Digester to produce biogas that contains ~60% methane by volume. The biogas will be upgraded to remove carbon dioxide, hydrogen sulfide and other trace constituents to produce pipeline quality RNG. This facility will be designed to process up to 180,000 ton/yr of SSOW and 30,000 ton/yr FOG into RNG, making it one of the largest such facilities in the U.S. The facility will produce ~1,450 million British Thermal Units (MMBTUs) per day, or ~530,000 MMBTUs per year. This quantity of RNG can fuel up to 545 heavy-duty natural gas trucks annually that can virtually eliminate smog-forming pollutants and reduce greenhouse gas emissions by as much as 80 percent.

171,000 MMBtu Dairy Digester-to-RNG Facility
We have been contracted as EPC provider for Renewable Natural Gas production for transmission line insertion, from four Lagoon Type Anaerobic Digesters collecting feedstock from four dairy barns. Two barns will also have Biogas upgrading facilities to remove the carbon dioxide (CO2) to produce renewable natural gas (RNG) via the Florida Southeast Connection (FSC) and Florida Gas Transmission (FGT) interstate pipelines. Upon completion, these digesters are expected to produce roughly 171,000 MMBtu of RNG per year and total RNG to the pipeline will be 318 scfm. In doing so, the project will result in the reduction of an estimated 57,400 metric tons of greenhouse gas emissions.

73,000 MMBtu Dairy Digester-to-RNG Facility
Venture recently broke ground on another Dairy Digester-to-RNG Facility located in Arizona. This dairy farm milks approximately 9,000 cows. Once complete, the facility is expected to annually reduce 33,000 metric tons of greenhouse gas emissions, while generating over 73,000 MMBtu of RNG every year.
Chowchilla, CA
35,000 Cow Dairy Digester-to-RNG Project
The project will provide carbon negative solutions through its avoidance of emissions stemming from the local dairy industry. With more than 367,656 tons of manure processed each year from 35,000 dairy cows, the project will produce ~900 million British Thermal Units (MMBTUs) of pipeline grade RNG per day, or ~330,000 MMBTUs per year when fully operational. This quantity of RNG can fuel up to 340 heavy-duty natural gas trucks annually that can virtually eliminate smog-forming pollutants and reduce greenhouse gas emissions by as much as 80 percent. This dairy derived RNG project will serve as in impactful example of the renewable fuel potential of improvements to dairy waste streams.
South Park Twp., PA
Landfill to Renewable Natural Gas Facility
Venture served as technical advisor to Green Rock Energy Partners LLC (“Green Rock”) in its acquisition of PSA South Hills Landfill Gas Venture LLC (“South Hills RNG” or “the Project”), and will serve as engineering, procurement and construction management (“EPCM”) contractor as well as operations and maintenance (“O&M”) service provider for the Project.
Located in South Park Township, Pennsylvania, South Hills RNG operates a production facility that upgrades biogas from a landfill to produce renewable natural gas that will be sold in the vehicular transportation market as renewable compressed natural gas (R-CNG). Production is expected to exceed one million gallons of renewable fuel per year. South Hills RNG represents the 14th renewable fuels-related contract awarded to Venture over the past 24 months, further enhancing Venture’s position as a leading middle-market specialty services provider to the renewable energy and power sectors.
