Venture Named EPC Contractor for 35,000 Cow Dairy Digester-to-RNG Project

Warrendale, PA (February 1, 2022) – Venture Engineering & Construction, Inc. (“Venture”) is proud to announce that we have been selected as the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) contractor for the engineering, design, construction, and commissioning of a $50 million dollar dairy digester to RNG (Renewable Natural Gas) facility located in Chowchilla, California.

The project will provide carbon negative solutions through its avoidance of emissions stemming from the local dairy industry. With more than 367,656 tons of manure processed each year from 35,000 dairy cows, the project will produce ~900 million British Thermal Units (MMBTUs) of pipeline grade RNG per day, or ~330,000 MMBTUs per year when fully operational. This quantity of RNG can fuel up to 340 heavy-duty natural gas trucks annually that can virtually eliminate smog-forming pollutants and reduce greenhouse gas emissions by as much as 80 percent. This dairy derived RNG project will serve as in impactful example of the renewable fuel potential of improvements to dairy waste streams.

This project is the seventh (7th) such dairy to RNG EPC project that Venture has been awarded in the past 12 months.  Other dairy to RNG project locations include Florida (4), Michigan (1), and Arizona (1).  Venture continues to be a leading EPC provider to the RNG market.
